8/8 Lions Gate: Opening to What Is Ready to Find Us

There is something especially meaningful about 8/8 this year. The Lions Gate Portal is traditionally associated with the alignment of the Sun in Leo, Sirius, Orion’s Belt, and Earth—a powerful symbol of illumination, courage, spiritual awakening, and stepping more fully into our personal power. As a Leo myself, I have always felt a special connection to this energy of the Lion: courage, heart, confidence, creativity, the pride of family, and the willingness to let our light shine.

This year, 8/8 has a different feeling for me. Today, I went to the funeral of my daughter’s father-in-law, Michael. I've know him for 33 years now, and although I was not very close, my daughter certainly was, and has considered him her second father. Being in a place of remembrance naturally led me to reflect on life, death, love, and what endures after our physical journey concludes. It reminded me of something I have believed for a long time: Our spirit is eternal. Our physical bodies change. Our lives change. People we love eventually leave this physical experience. But perhaps the deepest part of who we are—the love we give, the connections we make, the light we carry—continues. Not only that, but the web that connects us, affects all.

Somehow, that makes today's Lions Gate energy feel especially poignant.

Rather than thinking about manifestation as simply asking the Universe for more things, I am thinking about it as an invitation to become more open to the life and spiritual experiences that are already calling us forward.

This 8/8, I am choosing to manifest:

🌿 Health and vitality in my body.

❤️ Unconditional love and meaningful connections.

🔥 The courage to fully step into my personal power.

🌌 A deeper trust in Spirit and the unseen realms.

✨ Profound healing for myself and the ability to hold healing space for others.

🐝 Abundance and growth in my work through In Healing Light.

🌻 More joy, laughter, adventure, and meaningful experiences.

🦁 The courage to trust the next chapter of my life—even when I cannot yet see how it will unfold.

Perhaps you have something you are ready to release. Perhaps there is something you are ready to receive. Or perhaps, like me, you are simply feeling called to trust more deeply in the mystery of life and the eternal nature of our spirit.

So today, on this Lions Gate, I invite you to pause. Put your feet on the Earth. Feel the warmth of the Sun. Take a few slow breaths. Place your hand over your heart. And ask yourself:

What am I ready to receive? What am I ready to trust? What part of my own light is ready to shine more fully?

You don't have to know exactly how it will happen.

You only have to be willing to be open.

I am ready to receive what I have spent my life preparing for.

I open. I receive. I trust. I allow.

And I let my light shine. 

My Prayer for you today is that you allow yourself to Let Your Light Shine. Be Brilliantly illuminated.
